Start from Hanoi

As an adventurous traveler, I decided to rent a motorbike in Hanoi and embark on an hour-long ride to Quang Phu Cau, the famous incense village. The journey was filled with anticipation as I navigated the bustling city streets of Hanoi and then transitioned into the more serene, rural landscapes.

Location

Approaching the village, I saw many incense sticks along the road. If you want to save the entrance fee, you can just stop your bike and take some picture. The village had several photo spots for tourists. Initially, it was difficult to find the location I wanted, so I went down a random alley. A local informed me that the entrance fee was 50,000 VND, with no time limit. Given the time I spent travelling here and the reasonable ticket price, I decided to go in.

Tourist Place

Just a heads up, Quang Phu Cau might not be for everyone. Sure, it's got some killer photo ops, but at the end of the day, it's a working village, not a tourist hotspot. If you're into photography or digging off-the-beaten-path spots, this is your place. But if you're after comfy tourist stuff or guided tours, you might want to skip it. The village is all about the incense craft. It's pretty cool to see, but don't forget people actually work here – it's not built for tourists.
